During a recent chat with one of my good friends, we were talking a bit about how her participation in my annual planning program inspired her to get more clear about what it means to show up “consistently”.
When I uncovered the nuanced meaning behind the word "consistent," I realized it's not about adhering to a rigid schedule every day; it's about doing things in the same way, with the same standard. This revelation allows each of us to create our unique definition of consistency.
I must admit, my personal interpretation often dances with time. I'm a firm believer in yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily timelines. Holding ourselves accountable to our aspirations is crucial. Yet, I equally leave room for those moments of "I'm just not feeling it today" or "I've got too much on my plate this month" because life isn't always predictable.
The truth lies in the clarity we hold regarding our BIG goals. With a clear vision of what we want to achieve and when, we carve out the freedom to make decisions aligned with our objectives while navigating life's unpredictabilities.
